The Franco-Swiss Portes du Soleil ski area is one of the largest cross-border ski resorts in the world. It comprises 12 resorts and offers 600 km of skiing.

Skiing in the Portes du Soleil

The Portes du Soleil represents a veritable natural reserve of powder snow in the heart of the Alps, giving skiers the chance to enjoy 600km of fresh snow.

In addition to downhill skiing, the area also offers a wide range of other activities: ski touring, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding… You won’t have time to get bored!

The Portes du Soleil ski area includes numerous resorts and therefore several French (ESF) and Swiss (ESS) ski schools. These include the ESF d’Abondance and the ESF de La Chapelle d’Abondance, both of which are located in the Leman Mountains Explore area.
