While the slopes of the Portes du Soleil are reserved for downhill skiing in winter, they become a huge playground for mountain bikers in summer!

Enjoy the Portes du Soleil’s 12 resorts, 600 kilometers of trails and 19 mountain bike lifts. Depending on your preferences, you can venture into the heart of the fir forests, hurtling down wooded trails on winding single tracks, or rub shoulders with the beautiful herds in the alpine pastures on accessible trails and wide paths. The Pays d’Evian – Plateau de Gavot FFC site is fully certified by the French Cycling Federation, a guarantee of the quality of the routes, markings and maintenance of the network! Among the many starting points, the 5 main spots (Bernex and Thollon tourist information offices, Col de la Creusaz in Bernex, Lac de la Beunaz and Collège du Pays de Gavot in Saint-Paul en Chablais) offer large-format welcome signs and, for the first two, very useful related services (bike wash, repair tools, etc.).

As for the terrain, you’ll appreciate the undulating landscape and moderate gradients, with some more challenging and technical itineraries in Bernex and Thollon.
