Sustainable development
A pioneer in terms of sustainable development, the Communauté de Communes Pays d’Evian Vallée d’Abondance, CCPEVA, has included the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals in its territorial strategy. In 2024, it was awarded the Territoire Engagé Climat-Air-Energie 2-star label for its energy and climate policy, and is also recognized as a Territoire engagé pour la Nature by the OFB, Office Français de la Biodiversité.
Other labels testify to this collective sustainable development approach:
- Pavillon bleu for the beaches of Publier, Neuvecelle, Evian and Saint-Gingolph
- Station Verte for Bernex, Thollon-les-Mémises, Publier and Saint-Gingolph
- Accueil Vélo for Bernex and Saint-Gingolph
The preservation of resources is a strong commitment on the part of those working in the field, with a wide range of actions across the region.
