The village of Marin is located on the western slopes of the Gavot region and has taken advantage of its advantageous location, sunny exposure and marly soil to develop a winegrowing business. The landscape is dotted with hamlets, meadows, market gardens and vineyards.

    Vines have been grown on the slopes above the Dranse for hundreds of years and have contributed to the village’s reputation. From the slopes, you can enjoy beautiful views of Lake Geneva and, in the distance, the Swiss Jura and the canton of Vaud. Several winegrowers are still active in Marin.

      The GRP Littoral du Léman

      One of the stages of the GRP Littoral du Léman passes through the commune of Marin. The GRP Littoral du Léman is an itinerary that takes you from St Gingolph to Chens-sur-Léman through lakeside landscapes. With 7 stages totalling 2,000 meters of ascent, it’s the perfect way to get started on a long-distance hiking trail.
