The village is ideally located between lake and mountains. Vinzier offers a wide range of accommodation(including communal gîtes, camping and GR5 lodgings) and is an ideal stopover on your itinerary along the GR des Balcons du Léman. This long-distance hiking trail, as its name suggests, traverses the ridges and panoramic paths overlooking Lake Geneva. The trail passes through varied and picturesque landscapes, with numerous villages and superb viewpoints.

Vinzier astronomical observatory

The astronomical observatory stands out among the pastures. Equipped with a very recent telescope, it was built in the commune by members of the Association la Société Astronomique du Léman, which opens its doors annually. The observatory is not located in Vinzier by chance; its strategic position bears witness to the superb starry skies visible from the commune.
