Discover Lugrin and versatility of this commune

Lugrin, formerly known as Lugrinum (from the root Lug, meaning lake or river), is a coastal and mountain commune. Lugrin stretches from 373m on the lakeshore to 1244m at the foot of Mont Bénand. The commune is characterized by a series of plateaus bordered by the first reliefs of the Alps, including the 1,625-metre-high Pic des Mémises, giving the area considerable appeal thanks to its variety of landscapes.

Do you know the diversity of the commune of Lugrin?

The village of Lugrin is just like Leman Moutains Explore, an ideal vacation location. A multitude of activities are on offer, from swimming, sailing and fishing to hiking, mountain biking and paragliding. There’s also a fishery offering direct sales of fish from Lake Geneva, and the Temple du Fromage, which represents the gastronomic wealth of the region.

Protected flora and fauna

On the heights of the commune, the Laprau marsh is a protected area and home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. A short detour up to the Thollon-les-Mémises station will take you to the pretty Chapelle de Laprau.
