Arrêté de Biotope: Since 1984, ensuring specific regulations.

A mountain of mystery

As well as being one of the most imposing peaks in the Chablais region, and a demanding hike for experienced walkers only, the Cornettes de Bise harbor captivating mysteries.

Their surroundings offer breathtaking views of the Swiss and French Alps, as well as Lake Geneva, while their mountain pastures are home to a remarkable wealth of flora and fauna.

It’s not uncommon to spot herds of chamois and ibex perched on the steep ridges when hiking around the Cornettes de Bise, or even during the climb itself. However, be careful not to disturb them, and avoid all contact to respect their natural habitat.
